Zach believes that financial advisors often get the numbers right but the people wrong. Zach has life-centered conversations with clients to help them enjoy life now, as well as plan for upcoming transitions. Many of these transitions are expected, such as retirement, having a baby, paying for college, or buying a house. But it’s just as important to prepare for unexpected transitions like a death in the family, physical or mental disability, or losing a job. Zach leverages his knowledge and experience to help clients make wise decisions and reduce stress.
Zach is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Planning from Franklin University. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association and loves to read and learn. He is very analytical and is well known for overthinking absolutely everything. As you might expect, Zach enjoys playing chess and usually makes time to play in a few local tournaments each year. Ask him to play a game and don’t be surprised when he pulls a chess board and clock out of his trunk!
Zach lives in Westerville with his wife, Carrie and their son, Shepherd. Zach and Carrie are also foster parents. You’ll likely find them at a local restaurant or park accompanied by one to four children! The Kountz family attends Ethos Church and enjoys volunteering throughout their community.
